Webisodes are Not Part Of
With only 2 days to go a very exciting event has signed up. The Spinneyhead blog team have been working on a serial and the first episode launches on the 29th June. If you're lucky enough to have a computer check it out! There's a link on the listings.

Art Attack
In yet another example of the eclectic nature of our festival we have two new events finalised today. The first is Blank Canvas; an exhibition in a disused space by Manchester students. The second is an Emek (internationally renowned rock poster artist) retrospective at the Richard Goodall Gallery. So we have students promoting an artist at the top of his game, and he's promoting them. Exactly what this festival is all about.

Its Another Planet
Another Planet the great night at South. DJs Dave Haslam (XFM) and Ben Livingstone are now officially Not Part of Manchester International Festival. Two New Events Added!
Edging us ever closer to our target of 50 events come two more additions to the movement. Not content with DJing at one of our events Penny Farthing have added their wednesday night residency at The Bay Horse as a NPMIF event. Stroon have added their exhibition of Ian Tilton's work to our massive also. A manchester legend who was there clicking away when it all went down, we are glad to be showing some never before seen work as NPMIF. Check the listings for more details.

A Classic

Busy day as three events show the foresight and wisdom to sign up. Quizimodo is Manchester's oddest quiz night, conveniently taking place at Odder. I'm so Indie - Headliner Announced
I'm so Indie (my band wouldn't play Manchester International Festival even if they asked, which they haven't) have announced the headline act to their bill on 14th July at Dry Bar. To a line up that already includes the Generalissimos, Band(ism) and Onions, Air Cav have been added as the headliner. Check the listings for more details.

Nexus Time, Gentlemen Please
'Last Orders' is the latest addition to our listings. Taking place at Nexus on Dale St, Northern Quarter, the exhibition is a look at the changing face of Manchesters nightlife from the demise of traditional pubs to a glam and decadent night on the town. Taurus Announced as a Hub Venue
A hub venue is one which has the foresight and enthusiasm to ensure that every event under its roof between 29th June & 15th July is 'not part of Manchester International Festival'. Taurus is an excellent venue for art, theatre, music and much more.
